Bells of the Cascades is a community handbell choir from the greater Portland area in Oregon.
Bells of the Sound is a nationally acclaimed handbell ensemble that has been pioneering handbell artistry and excellence since 1989. This group of 15 auditioned musicians is known for their high-caliber, energetic and entertaining performances. Bells of the Sound is a dynamic force in the handbell world, advancing handbells into the mainstream of entertainment and encouraging composers to create new works for this provocative, exhilarating instrument.
Area 10 of The Handbell Musicians of America includes the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. They are dedicated to advancing the musical art of handbell/handchime ringing through education, community and communication. Currently there are approximately 430 members in Area X. Most memberships are held by choirs with some individual memberships which means they serve over 3500 ringers and directors.
